SCOPE: Community Insights on the HIV and STIs Biomedical Prevention Pipeline PrEP Implementation and Combination Prevention Advocacy —Reports

Back to the "Publications" list

In May and July 2025, EATG organised two community learning and advocacy meetings focused on advancing awareness and equitable access to combination prevention tools for HIV and other STIs. On this page, you will find reports from both meetings in English. These activities are part of the SCOPE project, which aims to strengthen the skills and knowledge of community health workers, advocates and researchers in the field of HIV combination prevention.

The first e-meeting, Developments in the HIV and STIs Biomedical Prevention Pipeline: An Update for Community Educators and Advocates, brought together experts and community members to discuss recent developments in biomedical prevention, including innovations in PrEP, PEP, and emerging long-acting prevention options. The report summarises the key presentation highlights and advocacy takeaways from a community perspective.

The second meeting, Community in SCOPE: A Workshop on HIV Combination Prevention, was held face-to-face with community health workers and advocates from across Europe and Central Asia. It focused on sharing challenges and good practices in delivering person-centred combination prevention services. The report highlights lessons learned from peer exchange and outlines the advocacy priorities identified by participants for improving access and implementation of prevention services in diverse settings.
