Leading to 8th March 2025, International Women’s Day, we are presenting a series of webinars that will see EATG women conversing about the issues that are most relevant to them: living with HIV, the experience of the menopause, adherence to treatment, peer support, leadership, using drugs and recovery, stigma and discrimination amongst many other topics.
The International Women’s Day 2025 campaign theme is ‘Accelerate Action’. Collectively, at EATG we can contribute to accelerate action for women in the WHO Europe Region and beyond. This series of webinars is one of the ways in which we call for actions that can benefit the health and wellbeing of women living with HIV.

EATG women converse about the contribution made by Black African women living with HIV to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote access to care for communities living with HIV.
The Black African HerStory comes to the fore in this webinar through the powerful words preciously preserved in the book Our Stories Told by Us | https://ourstoriestoldbyus.com/.
We will hear from the authors Angelina Namiba, Charity Nyirenda, Memory Sachikonye, Rebecca Mbewe & Winnie Ssanyu Sseruma. They will talk about peer support, friendship, leadership, living with HIV, addressing stigma and much more. The floor will be open for discussion.
The webinar will start with a short introduction to the book and how it came about and then each contributor will share their experience. Each contribution will be followed by a Q&A.
