EATG is proud to announce its participation in the European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) “United for Health” float during the WorldPride 2026 Canal Parade in Amsterdam on 1 August 2026.
WorldPride 2026 will bring together communities, organisations and allies from around the world to celebrate diversity, inclusion and equity. Through its participation in the Canal Parade, EMA aims to highlight the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in healthcare, science and public health. EATG will join the Agency and other partners on board the “United for Health” float, reinforcing the shared commitment to ensuring that healthcare systems and medicines development reflect and respond to the needs of all communities.
We welcome the opportunity to stand alongside key partners in celebrating diversity while drawing attention to the ongoing challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ and migrant communities, and people living with HIV. We are especially delighted that EATG member Eliane Becks Nininahazwe will represent our community at this celebration.
Pride is about visibility, dignity, and the power of community. Representing EATG, I join EMA’s float at WorldPride 2026 in Amsterdam to stand against HIV stigma and for inclusive health. Today, more than ever, it is essential HIV care remains accessible to everyone, especially for migrant- and LGBTQIA+ communities. United for Health means science and care must serve everyone. Together, we celebrate diversity as strength and affirm that equity saves lives.
This year’s participation is particularly meaningful for EATG as it coincides with 20 years of collaboration between EATG and EMA. Over the past two decades, the partnership has helped strengthen patient involvement in medicines regulation and fostered greater inclusion of community perspectives in health decision-making processes across Europe.
As EATG marks 20 years of collaboration with EMA, we are proud to join the Agency at WorldPride 2026 and to be represented on the ‘United for Health’ float. This moment celebrates the power of partnership, inclusion and community voices in shaping better health outcomes. Pride reminds us that equitable healthcare begins when LGBTQIA+ people are seen, heard and meaningfully involved.
EATG’s participation will reflect its longstanding commitment to advocating for the meaningful involvement of people living with and affected by HIV, as well as its broader work to advance health equity, human rights and access to quality healthcare.
