World Health Organization news release

The World Health Organization (WHO) released the second edition of the WHO consolidated guidelines on tuberculosis. Module 4: treatment and care. It consolidates recommendations on TB management in children and adolescents and incorporates new and updated recommendations for drug-resistant TB treatment, including shorter treatment regimens for pre-extensively drug-resistant TB according to disease severity and a new recommendation on palliative care for people with multidrug- or rifampicin-resistant TB.
