A long-term study on brain health in people living with HIV offers a hopeful message for patients with well-treated virus: Modern-day antiretroviral therapy markedly blunts HIV-related cognitive decline, and in many cases there’s no decline at all. But as with so many of these studies, the devil is in the details — both in terms of the key findings themselves and in how we translate them into everyday clinical care.
