TB surveillance in Romania among vulnerable risk groups between 2015 and 2017

Romania has the highest TB burden in the European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA) comprising almost a quarter of the reported patients in 2017, and a TB notification rate six times higher than the EU/EEA average.

Results of a descriptive study regarding TB monitoring data in Romania, including among vulnerable risk groups such as prisoners, the homeless population and drug users, were published in Therapeutics and Clinical Risk Management.
