AidsmapPoint-of-care viral load testing for infants and rapid initiation of antiretroviral treatment reduced deaths among infants with HIV by 67% in the first six months after birth in a large, randomised study in Mozambique and Tanzania, LIFE study investigators reported at the 30th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI 2023).
