Current and emeritus TB CAB members co-authored a letter to the editor, published in IJTLD OPEN, which presented the results of a community-led survey regarding the use of person-centered language for stratified approaches to TB treatment.
The survey found that among people affected by TB and people involved in TB care there is a preference for simple, person-centered, destigmatizing language that focuses on length of treatment (rather than on individual risk factors or anticipated complexity of treatment).
