MSF’s panel discussion: Bridging the gap: Securing access to essential TB medicines in the EU and EEA

Back to the "HIV and Co-Infections News" list

At a panel discussion held on 14 October 2025 in Brussels, Belgium, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) urged policymakers, parliamentarians, regulatory agencies, and procurement bodies based in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) to take urgent steps to bridge the gap in accessing TB treatment in the region. The EU/EEA are now experiencing a resurgence of TB and its resistant forms. As noted by MSF in a policy brief, critical drug-resistant TB medicines remain exorbitantly priced in the region.

The recording of the panel discussion is now available online and can be accessed here.
