Back to the "HIV and Co-Infections News" list

The International Network on Health and Hepatitis in Substance Users (INHSU) released a guide to point-of-care testing for hepatitis C (HCV) RNA. It provides an overview of how point-of-care HCV RNA testing works and how it can be implemented. It gives some practical tools, tips and resources and provides insight into the implementation barriers that could be encountered.

The implementation or scaling up of point-of-care HCV RNA testing is country and/or region-specific and the information provided in the guide is of a general nature.

The authors and reviewers of this guide include healthcare practitioners, researchers, laboratory scientists, policy makers and other service providers globally.
