Highlights of the 5th HIV Research for Prevention Conference
The International AIDS Society released the HIVR4P 2024 Knowledge Toolkit with highlights of the 5th HIV Research for Prevention Conference, held in Lima, Peru on 6–10 October 2024, and also as a hybrid meeting.
The Toolkit includes important scientific advancements and innovative research across key thematic areas presented at the conference. Thematic areas include:
- PURPOSE 2 trial of long-acting lenacapavir for PrEP
- Three-month dapivirine vaginal ring
- Offering a choice of PrEP methods
- Using local languages in HIV science reporting
- bNAb vaccine strategies
- Forcing the development of improbable bNAb mutations
- T-cell vaccines
- Viral vectors in therapeutic bNAb vaccines
