During EACS 2025, the Aging Well group released and presented its Position paper on ageing with HIV, calling on public authorities in France to guarantee the well-being and quality care of people living with HIV over 50. The aging of the French population living with HIV requires public policies that specifically address and adapt to their needs.

The Position paper focuses on:

  • Ensuring prevention of comorbidities and providing appropriate, quality care
  • Ensuring the respect, protection, and fulfillment of the economic and social rights of people aging with HIV

The paper was developed through a broad consultation with HIV professionals and community organisations. The next step is designing an implementation strategy.

The Position paper can be downloaded here.
