The World Health Organization and UNAIDS developed a budgeting and resource planning guidance for implementing virtual interventions as part of HIV responses to support countries that would like to initiate, implement or scale up any of the virtual approaches to strengthen their existing programs. Country stakeholders, including ministries of health, community-based organizations, and civil society organizations can use this guide to develop budgets and plan resources for any grants that they may be writing.
In the current challenging times with funding cuts across countries, these virtual approaches may act as a mitigation strategy to reduce costs and continue providing services to clients.
The unique format of this guide will enable countries to compare their preferences with the case studies used in the guide to determine which approach best suits their needs.
