Front-line clinicians, researchers, advocates, and affected community members have come together under the banner of The BETTER (Building Experience Treating Tuberculosis with Expanded Resistance) Project to develop a best practice field guide to inform treatment and care for people who have TB with expanded resistance. The guide focuses on clinical management, but recognizes the need for ongoing social, nutritional, psychological, and emotional support at all stages of care.
