EATG is proud to be present at the 20th European AIDS Conference (EACS 2025), taking place in Paris from 15 to 18 October. Organised biennially by the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS), this key event brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and community representatives working across the HIV/AIDS field in Europe.
This year, EATG is contributing to the conference through several exciting initiatives:
As part of the main scientific programme, EATG will host a dedicated session exploring Europe’s role in addressing HIV and other communicable diseases in times of permacrisis, a period marked by ongoing, overlapping global challenges.
EATG is also curating the Community Corner programme within the Exhibition area, a vibrant space for showcasing lived experience, exchange, and collaboration among community actors.
Visitors are invited to stop by EATG’s booth to meet our members and  our team, learn about ongoing projects, and read our new joint statement, to be released ahead of the conference.
EATG will also host a report launch event for the Glasgow Manifesto, featuring case studies from seven European countries, highlighting concrete examples of community-led research on ageing with HIV across the continent.
We’re delighted to present the 11th edition of the STEPS Cure Workshop, continuing our commitment to community engagement in HIV cure research and advocacy.
EATG together with Fédération Parapluie Rouge (Red Umbrella Federation) and Médecins du Monde (Doctors of the World) are also proud to host the CORE Local Multi-Stakeholders’ Meeting: From Margins to Mainstream – Community-Led Strategies for Inclusive Health and Policy for Sex Workers in France, bringing together sex worker-led organisations, policymakers, and community experts in France.
Join us in Paris as we work together toward a more equitable, community-driven HIV response in Europe and beyond.
This session will discuss:
Chair: Christophe Martet (France)
Chair: Gus Cairns (United Kingdom)

The Legacy Programme of EACS2025 in Paris is designed to create a lasting, non-material impact that extends beyond the Conference itself. Co-organised by local organisations and individuals, it focuses on HIV awareness, community engagement, and access to care.
Through exhibitions, public events and community spaces the programme reflects the experiences of people living with HIV and the work being done to support them. It offers opportunities to connect with broader audiences and highlight key issues in a way that resonates both within the Conference and across the city of Paris.
