Pfizer announced the initiation of a clinical study to evaluate the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of an Omicron-based vaccine candidate in healthy adults, and the publication of new results from two laboratory studies demonstrating that three doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine (BNT162b2) elicited antibodies that neutralize the Omicron variant:
- Pfizer and BioNTech initiate study to evaluate Omicron-based COVID-19 vaccine in adults 18 to 55 years of age
- Pfizer and BioNTech publish data from two laboratory studies on COVID-19 vaccine-induced antibodies ability to neutralize SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant
