EATG Launches the 2025 Annual Report

A year of impact, transition and new beginnings

Today, we are proud to publish the EATG Annual Report 2025, reflecting a year of significant achievements, important transitions and groundwork for the future.

In 2025, EATG continued to put community expertise at the centre of research, prevention, policy and care. Major projects reached their conclusion, new initiatives began, and community voices were brought into the spaces where decisions affecting people living with and affected by HIV are made.

The report highlights a year marked by important milestones, including:

• The publication of the Belong clinical guidance on the inclusion of people living with HIV in non-HIV clinical trials
• The conclusion of CORE, which delivered 84,700 testing opportunities across ten EU countries and contributed to the approval of free PrEP in Cyprus
• The development of a seven-country policy analysis of the Glasgow Manifesto on ageing with HIV
• The launch of READI, a major European initiative working towards more inclusive clinical research
• Continued community leadership through ECAB, protocol reviews, SCOPE and other research and prevention initiatives
• The publication of community resources, including the RBDCOV Community Engagement Toolbox and accessible information on DoxyPEP

The report also reflects the growth of EATG’s community and communications work. In 2025, our membership included 148 members from 37 countries, while our website reached around 38,000 monthly visitors, more than three times the previous year.

At the same time, 2025 was the final year of EATG’s Long-Term Strategy 2020–2025. The year therefore marked both the closing of an important chapter and the beginning of work towards a new strategic framework, shaped by our members and responsive to a changing environment.
