Report on violations of the rights of men who have sex with men engaged in sex work and chemsex in Ukraine

Back to the "HIV and Co-Infections News" list

The first survey led by gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) sex workers engaged in chemsex was conducted in Ukraine to study the human rights violations they are facing on a massive scale. As a result of the survey a report has been released.

The report will serve as an additional driver to mobilize a wider community of human rights activists to understand the importance of documenting and condemning the cases of human rights violations against GBMSM sex workers engaged in chemsex and the need to join the forces to prevent such violations.

The report has been prepared within the project “A set of measures aimed at reducing the number of new HIV infections among MSM who practice chemsex” implemented by the ChemBrothers initiative group with technical and expert support of HPLGBT and financial support of the Emergency Support Fund for Key Populations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
