In the context of World AIDS Day, the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) launches the ‘HIV Healthcare and Community Services in the COVID-19 Era’ campaign. The campaign focuses on community Healthcare Workers (HCW) from the HIV and co-infections field and the services they provide. We aim to highlight their essential role during the COVID-19 pandemic and urge for their services to be recognised and supported.
We want to pay tribute to their tireless efforts to ensure that people living with and communities most affected by HIV in Europe and Central Asia can access the prevention and care services they need. The work of community healthcare workers has been a key component of effective HIV/AIDS responses. Their agility in adapting services in response to the disruption caused by SARS-CoV-2 shows again that the they are crucial to the functioning of the health and social care system.

В связи со Всемирным днем борьбы со СПИДом EATG запустила кампанию «Услуги Организаций Здравоохранения и Гражданского Сектора в Эру COVID-19». Эта кампания посвящена сотрудникам организаций гражданского сектора в области ВИЧ и ко-инфекций, а также тем услугам, которые они предоставляют. Наша цель – рассказать о том, какую важнейшую роль они сыграли во время пандемии, и призвать к тому, чтобы их работа получила признание и поддержку.
Мы хотели бы выразить огромную признательность их самоотверженным усилиям по обеспечению людей, живущих с ВИЧ, и тех групп населения, которые наиболее затронуты ВИЧ, в Европе и Центральной Азии, доступом к терапии и профилактике, в которой они нуждаются. Работа представителей организаций гражданского сектора стала ключевым компонентом эффективных мер по борьбе с ВИЧ/ СПИДом. То, насколько оперативно они сумели адаптировать свою работу под изменения, вызванные пандемией, в очередной раз подтвердило значимость их роли в составе медико-социальной помощи.
