The European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) is a European network of nationally-based volunteer activists comprising of more than 150 members from over 45 countries in Europe. Our members are representatives of different communities affected by HIV/AIDS in Europe.
Mission statement of EATG:
EATG is an organisation driven by people living with HIV and key affected populations that is committed to equitable, timely and sustainable access to effective prevention, diagnoses, treatment and holistic care for all people living with and affected by HIV and associated infections and morbidities.
The primary geographic focus of the EATG is the member states served by the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe; however, the EATG will consider opportunities to collaborate with and support similar efforts in other parts of the world.
About the RBDCOV (RBD Dimer recombinant protein vaccine against SARS-CoV-2) project
The main objective of RBDCOV project is to test the efficacy, tolerability, and safety of two new vaccines against different variants of COVID-19 (Wuhan and South African/UK) based on the outstanding data generated using a recombinant protein developed by the consortium partners. Two different phase I/II clinical trials will be run during the project duration: Phase I/II for paediatric population to analyse the Wuhan vaccine and Phase I/II in adults to analyse adjuvanted recombinant RBD protein codifying for SA and UK SARSCov-2 variants given as a booster vaccination. The vaccine trial will include a cohort of immunocompromised individuals, including people living with HIV.
The role of EATG is to support project/ trial communications (WP8), provide the participant/community view on the design of the study and clinical protocols (WP9), and lead on the psychosocial assessment for participants of the study (WP9).
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating EATG’s involvement in the RBDCOV project WP8 and WP9, ensuring the organization’s contributions align with its mission and strategic goals. This role will facilitate communication between EATG, its partners, and other stakeholders while overseeing the timely and effective delivery of project outputs. The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, organising, and directing the completion of the deliverables and activities within the RBDCOV project for EATG, while ensuring these deliverables and activities are on time, within budget and within the scope of the objectives. Working under supervision of the Partners in Science Programme Manager, the Project Coordinator, for the RBDCOV Project, will:

Freelance (natural person under direct contract other than an employment contract). The consultant will require their own laptop, a stable internet connection and availability during CET working hours.
The position will be for the duration of the RBDCOV project until 31st August 2025, starting as soon as possible.
