The IAS–USA has newly published the 2019 Update of the Drug Resistance Mutations in HIV-1. Several key mutations have been added or updated since the most recent previous issue of the list in January 2017. The list is designed to help practitioners identify key mutations associated with resistance to antiretroviral drugs and to make clinical decisions regarding antiretroviral therapy (ART).
Current lists of mutations associated with clinical resistance to HIV, along with accompanying user notes, are periodically revised and disseminated by the IAS–USA Drug Resistance Mutations Group and published in the peer-reviewed electronic IAS–USA journal, Topics in Antiviral Medicine™.
The IAS–USA Drug Resistance Mutations Group is an independent volunteer panel of experts charged with delivering accurate, unbiased, and evidence-based information on drug resistance–associated mutations for HIV clinical practitioners.
