ECDC publishes Directors annual report 2011
HIV/AIDS remains a public health problem in the EU/EEA, with significant heterogeneity across countries and evidence for continuing transmission.
The report details the work of ECDC during 2011, a year which saw the outbreak of Shiga-toxin producing E. coli, outbreaks of malaria and West Nile virus in Greece, and a number of other public health challenges. Alongside further changes in its organisational structure, ECDC continued to produce important scientific output and to support the EU-level response to public health events. This report presents a full account of ECDC’s results during 2011, with activities described by unit and disease programme. Read full ‘Annual Report of the Director: 2011’ |
