The EATG also has strong links with harm reduction and drug user groups from Western and Eastern Europe and with other advocacy organisations and networks of people living with HIV/AIDS, such as:
Since 2005, the EATG has enjoyed special consultative status within the
Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.
In 2006, EATG became the first HIV/AIDS NGO to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the
WHO Regional Office for Europe.
