Living 2008 - Positive Leadership Summit - Reclaiming the Advocacy - pre-consultation

Summary

International PLHIV Conferences have been regularly held in various locations around the world since 1986. This year’s Conference will take place in Mexico on 1-2 August.
The Living with HIV Partnership has recently received a commitment from the AIDS 2008 Conference Coordinating Committee to officially recognize and support a two-day summit under the heading “LIVING 2008”.
Whilst LIVING 2008 will be a ‘stand-alone’ Positive Leadership Summit, it will be logistically and programmatically linked to AIDS 2008, and PLHIV focused themes and activities will continue to be an important component of AIDS 2008.
The Global Network of PLHIV (GNP+) coordinates and facilitates the planning and operation of LIVING 2008. However, all other organisationsin the Partnership, such as the EATG, are equally committed to making LIVING 2008 a success, especially in engaging their networks and partners at global, regional, country and community level.
