HIV/AIDS Correlation Policy Dialogue: “Breaking the barriers, bridging the gaps: Health inequalities, the HIV/AIDS response and Political Leadership in the European Union”
On behalf of MEP Marisa Matias, the European AIDS Treatment Group and the Correlation Network have the pleasure to invite you to the HIV/AIDS Correlation Policy Dialogue on 29 June 2011 in the European Parliament.

The objective of the meeting is to inform ongoing discussions as to what the response to HIV/AIDS in Europe at times of economic crisis should focus on to effectively address the epidemic and reduce health inequalities in the EU.
The HIV/AIDS Correlation Policy Dialogue will provide:
- A snapshot about the state of the epidemic in Europe
- An overview on progress made in the response to the epidemic presenting key results of the implementation of the Dublin Declaration on Partnership to Fight HIV/AIDS in Europe and Central Asia
- An opportunity to discuss HIV/AIDS Correlation Policy Recommendations
- A starting point of a core group of MEPs working on HIV/AIDS and co-infections in Europe
The meeting aims to bring together representatives from the public health and HIV community from across Europe, HIV practitioners, practitioners working in harm reduction, national and international experts, as well as national and international policy makers involved in shaping the future response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Europe.
Speakers include representatives from the European Commission, the European Center of Disease Control (ECDC), EU HIV/AIDS Civil Society Forum as well as national HIV/AIDS coordinators.
