Policy Dialogue Meeting St. Petersburg, Russia, 25 - 27 May 2012

In 2011 EATG developed the Emergency guidelines for treatment interruptions and after the Policy Dialogue Meeting in Bucharest, structural problems leading to stock-outs were identified and steps for further advocacy around this issue were developed.

In 2012 the PDM will focus on particular challenges experienced in the Russia, to share perspectives on the problems and a common agenda among various stakeholders on solutions to ensure greater uninterrupted access to HIV treatment in Russia.

Policy Dialogue Meeting Bucharest, Romania, 4 - 6 November 2011

The third PDM in 2011 brought together Policy Working Group Members with Romanian activists and national and international organisations based in Romania to discuss access to treatment and stock-outs, based on the EATG guidelines for treatment interruptions.

Policy Dialogue Meeting Belgrade, Serbia, 11 October 2011

Within the frame of the EACS Conference, the PDM in Belgrade brought together Policy Working Group members and The Network of Low Prevalence Countries (NeLP) with Serbian activists and government, as well as with international participants from the region and international organisations under the slogan "Central and South East Europe Need More Positive Attention!"

Policy Dialogue Meeting Riga, Latvia 19 - 21 February 2011

The first in a series of policy dialogue meetings between 2011 and 2012, EATG brings Policy Working Group members together with local organisations and community representatives from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania and representatives from their governments and international NGO's represented in the region in order to discuss treatment access issues.

HIV related restrictions on entry and residence: indicator of stigma and discrimination - EATG activities at International AIDS Conference 2010, Vienna

More than 60 countries are currently restricting freedom of movement for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). Among these countries are 15 states from the WHO Europe Region. 31 countries do not stand back to deport PLWHA on the ground of their HIV status. These restrictions are a clear indication of stigma and discrimination at governmental level.
