Uganda loses $16m Global Fund aid
The Global Fund has permanently terminated two grants to Uganda for malaria and tuberculosis because of what it called ”unsatisfactory performance.“ As a result, Uganda has missed about $16 million.

Public Health Advisory: erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs)
FDA today issued a public health advisory outlining new safety information, including revised product labeling about ESAs, widely-used drugs for the treatment of anemia in a variety of conditions, anemia due to zidovudine therapy in HIV patients.

Bioequivalence of pilot 100 mg tablet formulations of ritonavir to the marketed soft gel capsule
Abbott is developing a 100-mg ritonavir tablet formulation that would not require refrigeration. Other formulation objectives include bioequivalence to the marketed soft gel capsule, chemical and physical stability over a range of temperature and humidity conditions, and acceptable size.
