Laure Sonnier, Scientific Adviser
Laure has defended her PhD in Biomedical Research from the Ecole Normale Superieure - Ulm (Paris, France) in 2006.
She specialized in International Public Health during her Master of Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health (Boston, USA), and consecutively worked as freelance health consultant for international cooperation agencies (eg. ADECRI) and health consultancies (eg. SPRIM Health Sciences). She joined EATG in March 2009 as Scientific Adviser. For EATG, she coordinates science-oriented projects aiming at advancing research on HIV/AIDS, and she also supports the work of the European Community Advisory Board (ECAB). Her professional focus is on access to essential medicines, and development of new drugs and prevention systems to fight HIV/AIDS and associated pathologies. Laure is French and Swiss, and has lived and worked in several countries including France, Sweden, USA, and Bolivia. In Bolivia, she served as Project Officer for an NGO involved in health and education in the shantytowns of La Paz.
