Activities
EATG activities focus on Policy and Advocacy, Scientific research and Training.
EATG supports the Community-based advocates by:
- developing training programmes on HIV treatment and advocacy destined primarely to support the Community advocates and partners organisations. See the training section.
- funding projects, training, conferences, seminars, etc.
- providing funding for translation of Patient Education materials (see COPE publications in Eastern & Central European languages).
- joining forces with peer organisations on issues such as HIV co-infection, substance use and harm reduction, discriminations of vulnerable groups (i.e. migrants, prisoners, sex workers, gays & lesbians, drug users, women and girls, young people, Human Rights).
- maintaining a constructive dialogue with the pharmaceutical industry, government agencies, scientific research bodies, and any influential body in the field of HIV/AIDS.
- providing speakers and contributing to other organisations' programmes (whether international scientific conferences, or seminars and trainings related to HIV/AIDS).
